Hi, I’m Santeri. I work across machine learning, robotics, software, electronics, photography, and climbing. I like to automate things and build things that connect digital systems with the physical world.
I’m also completing an MSc in Information Technology at Tampere University. All coursework is complete and only the Master’s thesis remains. My major is Signal Processing and Machine Learning, and my thesis leans more toward robot vision and policy models. Studies currently take up only a minority of my time while I gather knowledge and experience in other areas.
Current interests
- Machine learning, signal processing, and foundation models
- Robotics and learning-based control (primarily through thesis work)
- Exploring ideas around startups and entrepreneurship
- Building small software and electronics projects
- Outdoor bouldering, running and maintaining a healthy lifestyle
Activities
- Official at the Tekiila climbing club
- Part-time sports hall supervisor at Tamppi Areena
- Event photography to create value and keep learning photography with as little friction as possible; selected photo sets are in the Gallery
